Audrey has slowly been learning how to pet the cats. She has just begun to pet them with an open hand and they are starting to like her more. But she still screams with excitement when she sees Mabel, so Mae doesn't come very close. The cutest things happened today. First, Forrest was holding Audrey and Ella (pictured) was in his lap. Audrey wanted to pet her, so I showed her how. I pet Ella gently, and Audrey pet her gently. Then I scratched Ella's head, and Audrey scratched Ella. She's learning so fast!
Then, while I was trying to put Audrey down for a nap, Ella came to visit. I stood Audrey up to pet Ella, and Audrey hugged her! She wrapped both arms around her, it was adorable. I just wish Forrest had been there with the camera. And now I can't wait for Audrey to be three years old so she can get her very own kitten.
